My Story
Growing up in Ashland County, Ohio, I spent a significant portion of my formative years on my grandfather's farm, where my passion for agriculture and real estate took root. The experience instilled in me the ability to tackle problems on the fly, a strong work ethic, and the confidence to bet on myself. Throughout my teens, I actively participated in the Ashland County fair, showing steers and pigs while also contributing to the daily operations of the farm. I found joy in various farm tasks, from rounding up cattle to stacking hay on wagons and even participating in the construction of barns. Working with equipment always added an element of excitement. During my teenage years, I also held diverse jobs, starting with landscaping in the sweltering summer heat and later working at RES Auction Services in Wooster, Ohio, a job I still undertake when needed. Additionally, I ventured into the realm of barista work at a small coffee shop in Hayesville, Ohio, a great experience that lasted for about a year. Soon, I transitioned to a new role, obtaining a commercial driver's license, and driving a truck across the northern part of Ohio, delivering ice during the summer. This job remains a source of enjoyment for me. To add on to everything else, I embarked on a woodworking venture, Hideaway Shop, with my grandpa. To this day, I continue to take on custom orders, intending to sustain and grow this business. My high school years were also marked by active involvement in sports, including football, baseball, basketball, and track. This athletic journey led me to Kent State University, where I played Division One football during my freshman year, even taking a trip to the Idaho Potato Bowl. I still stick to a rigorous workout routine to this day. I soon found a job at school where I was working as a bartender and server on the weekends. Collaborating with my older brother, Garrett Hartley, we ventured into PolyVolt Technologies, a project with substantial upside potential. Embracing a mindset of thinking outside the box and continuously pushing boundaries to learn and improve, I continue to be dedicated to personal growth. In the present, I've recently obtained my real estate license and joined forces with my mother, Mary Hartley, on a real estate team. On track to graduate from Kent State University in 2024 with a major in marketing and a minor in finance, I eagerly anticipate expanding my skills and knowledge. Excited to embark on my real estate career, I plan to apply the marketing strategies learned in college alongside the background knowledge accumulated over the years. The future looks to be more exciting than ever.
